Eid al-Adha is known as the Feast of SacrificeEid al-Adha is known as the Feast of Sacrifice. It’s also an Islamic festival commemorating the willingness of Ibrahim to follow Allah’s command to sacrifice his son Ishmael. Muslims around the world celebrate Eid al-Adha and it’s one of the most important religious events for us.

To celebrate the occasion, Muslims sacrifice sheep or other animals on the day of the feast. We prepare the meat to divide into three parts from sacrificed animal. The family retains one third of the share; another third is for relatives, friends and neighbours; and the remaining third is for the poor and needy.
